about the Missionettes

Missionettes

Missionettes is a church-based discipleship program that has a legacy of godly women coming alongside girls, guiding them on a path to become mature and godly women. Our goal is simple: To see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, and to realize her importance and potential in the kingdom of God. Divided into Clubs based on their grade level, girls are taught Biblical lessons about a wide-range of life topics all geared at helping them grow into the women of God, He is calling them to be. Each Club is designed with unique Club distinctives that include a specific color, Pledge, Motto and Scripture. Girls who join the program receive their own Club t-shirts and sash and are able to earn badges, charms, and pins throughout the year.

Preschool (age 4+): Rainbows

Rainbows launches little hearts into the exciting journey of discovering God and His great love. Noah’s Ark provides an exciting theme for the Bible stories, crafts, full-color activity pages, and games for this preschool club.

Kindergarten: Daisies

In Daisies,  a foundation is laid for godly character with lessons on everything from believing to giving, and obeying to trusting. Characters woven throughout the curriculum make life application from the Bible stories and principles they learn.

1st–2nd grade: Prims

In Prims, girls learn biblical principles and object lessons that make learning even more fun! Curriculum topics include: The Bible, Church, Community, Family, Kindness, etc.

3rd–5th grade: Stars

Stars girls complete units on basic Christian doctrine, missions, activities, and character development. Memorization, projects, and Bible reading are all a part of the club’s options. Curriculum topics include: Fruit of the Spirit, Making the Right Choices, Personal Evangelism, etc.

6th–8th Grade: Friends

The Friends Club uses discussion-oriented journal booklets to help girls make godly decisions about issues they face. Plus, the incorporated Bible reading teaches girls to search God’s Word for answers to life questions.

9th–12th Grade: Girls Only

The Girls Only Club offers girls a safe place to share their struggles, fears, and hopes with other girls. Studies deal with gritty, real-life issues, so that girls are armed with God’s truth as they face the world head-on.

The Missionettes ministry is led by overseer, Sister Francis Trevino and coincides with an academic school year. The program runs from September to June. During the year, Sister Francis and Sister Connie plan trips, outings and other events for the girls to attend. Like a school year, each year the program concludes with a full-service graduation ceremony where each Missionette girl is recognized for her achievements and awards earned throughout the year.
